The American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) selected Croy Engineering’s Skip Spann Connector project as the 2017 National Project of the Year in the $20 Million and Under category. Croy’s President, Greg Teague, and Vice President, Chris Rideout, attended the National Conference in New York where awards were presented during a luncheon for the past President on June 16, 2017. As Director of the Town Center Community Improvement District, Tracy Rathbone accepted the award on behalf of the client.

The Skip Spann Connector was designed to alleviate traffic in the I-75 and Chastain Road area. It is Cobb County’s first lighted bridge and, since completion, has reduced traffic, increased safety for pedestrian and bike traffic, and added beautified road sections with the incorporation of planters and aesthetically pleasing landscaping. This project was also the winner of several Engineering Excellence awards given by the American Council of Engineering Companies.
