Croy Engineering Team Selected for Richland Creek Reservoir Raw Water Pipeline

  • February 02, 2015

Croy Engineering, a leading firm dedicated to Engineering, Surveying, and Planning, is pleased to be a part of the Garney Construction design-build team for the Richland Creek Reservoir Raw Water Pipeline project. The Raw Water Pipeline will be constructed between the Etowah River and the new Richland Creek Reservoir as part of the Richland Creek Water Supply Program, with the purpose of fulfilling the County’s future water needs over the next 45 years.

“Water is a critical resource for the State of Georgia,” commented Eddie Wade, P.E., Project Manager, Croy Engineering. “We are excited to provide solutions to Paulding County, allowing for future growth to an already progressive county.   Our approach will be to provide a cost-effective design, while expediting the project by focusing on maximizing use of local resources. Partnering with Garney Construction, a top Water Resources construction firm, allows us to put Paulding County residents to work on Paulding County projects.” Croy will also partner with Rakestraw & Associates, a Dallas Georgia based Surveying Company.

The Richland Creek Water Supply program consists of a new reservoir, which will supply three billion gallons of drinking water to existing and future residents. Paulding County currently owns the existing water distribution infrastructure in the County, but purchases all of its water supply from Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority (CCMWA). By constructing a 305-acre reservoir and new water treatment plant, Paulding County will not only be able to provide its own water, but also plan for continued growth for future residents. The reservoir will be fed by the Etowah River through a raw water pipeline, which will draw from the river during high flow events, thus maintaining the integrity of the Etowah River.

The Croy Engineering team consists of award-winning engineers, designers, planners, environmental and regulatory specialists, construction and program managers, all of whom provide a wide range of client-driven solutions. By employing a talented and growing workforce with a vast array of backgrounds, Croy is committed to providing innovative solutions to accomplish its Client’s goals.
