Croy undertook a site selection process to find three potential locations within a 3-mile targeted area for the development of a recycling center for the City of Smyrna. This process included identifying potential sites and preparing conceptual site plans and cost estimates for consideration by the City. The selected site was an existing 0.95-acre oil distribution facility. The scope included interior and exterior renovation of and modifications to the existing building, landscaping, as well as a large canopy design to cover the proposed recycle bins.
Services Croy provided included:
- Site selection
- Concept plans
- Demolition plan
- Grading and drainage plans
- Utility plans for water, sanitary sewer, natural gas and three-phase power
- Construction management
Croy assisted the City with the bid process, including preparation of the bid package, advertisement, pre-bid meetings and award selection. The firm performed construction management, including the pre-bid meeting thru closeout of the project, which included pay application reviews, change order reviews, inspections, and coordination with involved construction disciplines and utility providers.
