Ken Giannoni has 50 years of experience in the fields of engineering, surveying, construction engineering, and utility coordination. He has worked in site development, parks and recreation, and transportation engineering. Ken has primarily been involved in the coordination and development of parks and recreation facilities, sidewalks, parking, industrial parks, apartment complexes, commercial facilities, office buildings, and residential subdivisions, all of which include elements of roadways. His responsibilities follow projects from site evaluations, preliminary cost estimating, and planning through design to construction administration. In addition, Ken has served in the role of Reviewing Engineer for several municipalities, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations in the permitting process. During the course of his career, Ken has established a vast network of relationships that facilitate his coordination efforts. His utility coordination involvement includes: initial contact with all potential utility providers in the project area; acquiring utility markups from utilities ensuring their incorporation into design; pre-bid meetings; attendance at regular utility meetings during project construction; coordination with all utilities to assist contractor with schedules and resolving issues during construction. Ken is also involved with the Georgia Utilities Coordinating Council (GUCC) and the Cobb Utility Coordinating Committee (GUCC) keeping appraised of project safety (damage and safety reports); new development, transportation, and utility projects; and topics related to GUCC, GA811, and GDOT.
