Civil Designer (Entry-Mid Level)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive assignments from senior professional regarding preparation of CAD drawings for various civil projects, including civil site, airports, transportation, stormwater, water, sanitary sewer, and other infrastructure upgrades
• Assist with preparation of preliminary engineering reports for public infrastructure improvement projects
• Assist with preparation of contract documents suitable for bidding
• Assist with preparation and submittal of permit applications and monitor the review and approval process
• Assist with preparation of erosion and sediment control plans for infrastructure projects
• Perform drafting in AutoCAD and other programs.
• Work and communicate in a team environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent
• Ability to obtain Engineer in Training (EIT) within one year of hire
• Familiarity with land use regulations and permitting
• Familiarity with site plan and public infrastructure design, preparation of specifications, and engineering report writing
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
