Land Surveying CAD Technician

In this role, you’ll prepare CAD drawings, create and interpret surface models, and more all to work towards our goals of providing safe and precise work for our clients. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Efficiently plan and prepare CAD drawings using Civil 3D and/or MicroStation InRoads/Open Roads, as well as Trimble Business Center.
• Create and interpret 3D surface models, triangulated irregular networks, and contours.
• Work with the Surveying Manager to input data from records, data collection efforts, and other mapping sources to produce high-quality GIS maps and databases.
• Prepare construction staking data for field crews using construction plan sets.
• Process and interpret survey data collected in the field.
• Schedule and work in a team environment to develop plats that meet or exceed the minimum requirements of the states of Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of four years of survey-related Civil 3D or MicroStation (preferred)
• Associate Degree in a survey-related field and/or formal CAD training (preferred)
• Hold a valid driver’s license and retain a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
• Ability to read and interpret property legal descriptions, easements, and rights-of-way
• General knowledge of field survey procedures and equipment
• Previous survey field experience (preferred)
• Possess the ability to work independently and be self-motivated
