Following the construction of Richard D Sailors Parkway, the City of Powder Springs used land that remained between the parkway and the Silver Comet Trail to create a passive-use park. Funded with a combination of SPLOST money and Impact Fees, Phase 1 of the park features:

  • New parking lot and landscaping
  • Concession and restroom building
  • New playground
  • Adult exercise facility
  • 28’7” climbing net
  • Parking lot addition
  • Covered basketball court

The next three phases of the park will include a dog park, skate park, trail head, trails, parking, boardwalk, open fields, and a wetlands learning center. The entire property spans 41 acres.
