Site Development Brings $100 Million, Class A Headquarters Facility to Community
Due to the live, work, play aspects of the surrounding community, HD Supply chose to locate its corporate headquarters in the Cumberland area in Georgia. Adjacent to The Encore, a $75 million mixed-use development, the new headquarters site also provided the company with convenient access to Interstate 75. With 222,500 square feet of commercial space, this $100 million, eight-story, Class A office tower was a welcome addition to the walkable developments in the area.
Utility surveying and site design were complicated on the site due to the large building footprint on a small area. Design complexities also included coordination with agencies related to the nearby Chattahoochee River, Interstate 75, and the Federal Aviation Administration. Croy also designed for the site pump stations, a stormwater detention vault, as well as landscaping, pedestrian, and transit improvements.
