Project Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a solid bridge between the firm’s projects and business operations
  • Perform monthly project invoicing for all offices
  • Monitor project contract amounts against spent and billed amounts for WIP management and project health
  • Coordinate with project managers on invoicing, employee time entries, as well as setting-up change orders and newly awarded contracts
  • Communicate directly with the CFO, COO, and CEO to provide accurate financial reporting
  • Set-up new clients and subconsultants and apply invoices to appropriate projects

Technical Lead | Municipal Utilities Department (Senior Level)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop scope of services and fee estimates for professional services related to municipal projects, as well as prepare proposal letters.
  • Manage and lead staff on project production and assist in their professional development.
  • Provide and review detailed design and calculations for various civil projects, including municipal, water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, road, and infrastructure upgrades.

Traffic Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with research and studies of traffic operations and safety.

Construction Field Inspector

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read construction plans and review for constructability, utilization of appropriate materials, and provide value engineering
  • Walk the project ahead of the contractor’s work schedule to identify potential unforeseen conflicts.
  • Provide construction inspection for roadway, aviation, utility, and site development projects for conformance to construction plans, specifications, and other documents.
  • Document the contractors progress with Daily Inspection Reports including notes, photos, quantities, and weather.
  • Verify materials delivered to the jobsite match the approved submittals.
  • Monitor contractor’s schedules throughout the project and keep an accurate log of contract days used and remaining.
  • Measure and document quantities of work performed each day and review/verify quantities on Contractor’s monthly payment applications.
  • Inspect contractor’s temporary traffic control and verify in compliance with Part 6 of the MUTCD.
  • Inspect erosion control (BMP’s) for conformance with the contract documents and report any erosion control deficiencies or required maintenance to the contractor.

Survey Crew Chief

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise all field operations, such as measurements, drawing of sketches, construction staking, property corner staking, and other data collection.
  • Act as the point-of-contact for clients in the field and communicate the progress of the project to the Survey Manager and/or engineer.
  • Provide guidance to technicians on use of survey equipment and ensure that crew members follow standard procedures.

Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Designator

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive, document, and close-out excavation notices.
  • Read and interpret utility maps/prints to identify the type and size of underground utilities.
  • Use assigned communication equipment to effectively communicate with excavators, utility reps, and company personnel regarding underground facilities.
  • Operate different electronic detection equipment to locate and mark underground facilities within prescribed accuracy limits.
  • Perform light excavation to expose buried utilities when necessary.
  • Provide accurate documentation and/or sketches related to all locates completed.
  • Receive and respond to excavation notices during normal and after hours in accordance with established time requirements.

Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead execution of all survey projects.
  • Lead drafting efforts and point processing (both conventional and GPS) for Croy’s surveying department and coordinate training opportunities for both crews and office staff with Croy’s Field Manager.
  • Coordinate field work completion, preparation, calculation sheets, drafting, and quality with Croy’s Survey Field Manager.
  • Prepare forecast of workload for assigned staff.
  • Review boundary retracements with the PLS in-charge across Croy’s office locations with the purpose of condensing the drafting to improve quality, consistency, and overall plat development efforts.
  • Train draftsman and field crew personnel, as well as assist and consult when training is needed.
  • Assist with the development of proposal materials and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate schedules, budgets, and project preparation with Field Coordinator for 2-3 crews on day-to-day basis.
  • Manage staff resources within survey department to complete the necessary tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Review work for consistency of presentation and the application of appropriate standards. Responsible for the quality of product.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and progress for timely completion of projects.
  • Assist the Survey Department Manager with review of client billings and monitor outstanding accounts receivable on all survey projects.
  • Develop probable cost estimates for survey projects as requested by the client.
  • Responsible for surveyor and/or project team quality system tasks as defined in the quality manual for the survey department on private projects, and other manuals for each government entity (i.e., GDOT survey manual for GDOT projects).

Survey Field Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Surveying Crew Chief to collect field data for various types of surveys, including boundary, topographic, construction layout, as-builts, ALTA, and utility surveys.

  • Generate field sketches and detailed notes of daily work.

Aviation Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage engineering projects, including the scoping, design, schedule, budgets, resources, quality control, and client relations.
  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis for aviation and civil designs at general, regional, and international aviation facilities utilizing Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) design specifications.
  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for clients, including project planning, scoping, scheduling, and funding coordination; facility and project planning; subcontracting, funding application; and coordination with FAA and GDOT.

Transportation Planner

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the development of planning studies, transportation corridor studies, comprehensive transportation plans, comprehensive plans, and multi-modal studies
