Burnt Hickory Park

This project involved the development of an approximately 160-acre site into Burnt Hickory Park for Paulding County residents. The park project included adding tennis courts, pavilions, a community center, pads graded for multi-purpose use, and a hub ball field complex with associated buildings, drives, and parking. Nature trails are also included within the project.

Croy prepared erosion and sedimentation plans to meet state and local permitting requirements; evaluated site conditions to identify state stream buffers; secured Land Disturbance Permitting (LDP) for the project; prepared an update to Notice of Intent for NPDES permitting through Georgia EPD and conducted the required initial inspection of the installed erosion control measures; as well as attended coordination and permitting meetings to obtain approvals.

In addition, Croy provided hydrology design to obtain an LDP for the project, meeting current Paulding County water quality, quantity, and channel protection requirements; coordinated water distribution plans and sewage disposal plans required to be within the LDP drawings; and provided master meter selection, water distribution design, and coordination with the sanitary sewer design and permitting.

Finally, Croy developed a conceptual landscape plan; organized landscape tree protection and replacement plans and an irrigation plan; and coordinated site lighting plans to provide lighting layout and design for the parking lots, tennis courts, playground area, community center, and ball fields.
