Newnan Park Improvements

Park Developments Improve Community Quality of Life

CJ Smith Park
This project involved the redevelopment of an existing single baseball field park into a 12-acre community park. The design of the park included the expansion of a parking lot, pavilion with concessions and bathrooms, interactive splash pad water feature, playground, open space picnic area, extensive skate park, and pump track area. The park is located in a flood area and has a stream with buffers so the design of the stormwater management and grading was an integral part of the success of the project.

The HOP: House of Pickleball Park
This project involved the development of a parcel adjacent to the City of Newnan Public Safety Complex. The design of the park included a multi-court complex with 15 pickleball courts featuring a shade pavilion, restrooms, concession area and expansion of an existing detention pond.

Lynch Park
This project involved the resurfacing of an existing grass/dirt baseball field to a turf baseball field. The design of the park included the replacement of an existing concession/press box, replacement of the baseball fields surface and underdrains, and the grading and drainage of the fields immediate area to address existing drainage issues.
