Taxiway Rehabilitation Project Completed in Four Months with FAA Grant Funding

As a part of a five-year pavement rehabilitation contract with the Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority, Croy was initially tasked with designing rehabilitation efforts for Taxiway E at Huntsville International Airport.

The scope of this project includes a full-depth reconstruction of approximately 1,800 linear feet of Taxiway E, a four-inch mill and overlay of the remaining approximate 8,200 linear feet, the replacement of all taxiway edge lights and cables, and the relocation and design of two connector taxiways to the General Aviation Ramp.

Croy completed the design and advertised the bid within the client’s requested four-month timeline. Croy provided bidding administration, recommendation of award, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant application assistance, as well as all construction administration services for this project.
