Upgraded Fire Station Enhances City’s Services
This new two-story, 9,064-square-foot facility on Concord Road in the City of Smyrna, Ga. houses a fire station, Emergency Operations Center, and back-up 911 center. Croy provided site development, planning, civil design, permitting assistance, and project management services for the facility, which replaced the previous fire station. The project also included the design of a driveway around and through truck bays, vehicle tracking plans, the design and coordination of all utilities, as well as coordination with the City’s fiber optic system.
The building’s structure is composed of a steel frame, CMU walls, and a brick exterior finish. The new fire station also includes six bunk rooms, a dayroom, kitchen, office, exercise room, multi-purpose room, and two apparatus bays.
