Croy announced it has acquired Tompkins Surveying and Mapping, LLC, a land surveying firm based in Cartersville, Ga.

The acquisition enables Croy to provide expanded land surveying, mapping, and utility location services to clients across the Southeast, while growing its talent, technologies, and geographic reach.

“We are proud to have the entire Tompkins team join our Croy family. Our shared commitment to provide quality, accurate, and timely services, as well as to invest in the communities where we work, made them a natural fit for our growing firm,” said Jim Croy, Sr., Managing Partner and CEO for Croy.

Joined by the Tompkins staff, Croy offers a range of surveying, utility mapping, and site planning services to residential, commercial, and industrial clients. These services include boundary, ALTA/NSPS, and engineering design surveys; cartography; database preparation; site plans; 3D laser scanning; and GIS mapping. The firm also provides utility location services, integrating new technologies and methodologies to keep costs low, minimize delays, and provide accurate results.

“Croy is built in much the same way as Tompkins: hard work, honest dealings, fair prices and pay, and a culture of professionalism and creativity to help solve our clients’ problems,” said S. Clark Tompkins, Founder and Owner of Tompkins Surveying and Mapping. “By joining forces, we will now have more resources to serve our clients faster, while also maintaining our local presence. This makes it a win for not only our company, but our clients and the greater Cartersville-Bartow community as well.”

Croy will continue to operate an office at Tompkins existing building, located at 162 West Main Street in Cartersville. It is the fifth office location for Croy, following the recent opening of a branch office in Chattanooga, Tenn. In addition to its headquarters in Marietta, Ga., the firm also operates offices in Smyrna, Ga. and Huntsville, Ala.
