Today’s Cobb County Board of Commissioners (BOC) Regular Meeting was a meaningful one for our team!

The meeting kicked off with Chairwoman Lisa Cupid presenting a proclamation honoring Croy on our 20th anniversary. She acknowledged our team’s significant contributions to infrastructure development and our positive impact in Cobb County:

“During the past 20 years, Croy has provided exceptional services in engineering, program management, construction inspection, planning, environmental studies, and surveying—delivering projects that have improved our quality of life, strengthened infrastructure, and advanced innovation across Cobb and the Southeast.”

Accepting the proclamation on behalf of Croy were Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gregory D. Teague, PE, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Adam Langley, and Chief Operations Officer (COO) Eddie Wade, PE.

WHEREAS: In 2005, Jim Croy, Sr. founded Croy Engineering in Cobb County with just 17 employees and has since grown it into a thriving firm of more than 100 professionals serving communities across Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee; and

WHEREAS: During the past 20 years, Croy has provided exceptional services in engineering, program management, construction inspection, planning, environmental studies, and surveying — delivering projects that have improved our quality of life, strengthened infrastructure, and advanced innovation across Cobb and the Southeast; and

WHEREAS: With a strong commitment to client service, employee growth, and community partnerships, Croy has been recognized with numerous accolades, including Top 100 Design Firm honors by ENR Southeast (2020–2025), Best Firms to Work For by the Zweig Group (2020–2025), and multiple awards from state and national organizations, including Engineering Excellence Awards and Project of the Year Awards from American Council of Engineering Companies of Georgia, Georgia Airports Association, American Society of Highway Engineers, and Georgia Department of Transportation; and

WHEREAS: Croy’s dedication to fostering engineering excellence has not only contributed to award-winning projects, but has also earned the firm recognition as Engineering Employer of the Year by the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers in 2022 and by the Women’s Transportation Seminar Atlanta Chapter in 2021, highlighting a culture of mentorship, leadership, and innovation; now

THEREFORE: We, the Cobb County Board of Commissioners, congratulate Croy Engineering on its 20th anniversary, commend its decades of outstanding service and community impact, and extend it best wishes for continued success in shaping the future of Cobb County and beyond.
