Croy Founder and CEO – James M. “Jim” Croy, Sr., PE – was named a “2020 Most Influential Georgian” by InsiderAdvantage’s JAMES Magazine in its popular yearly roster of major business, political, and media players from across the state.

The publication included Croy on the list, citing “when it comes to engineering projects in Georgia and elsewhere, this captain of industry has done it all.”

Croy has more than 45 years of engineering and management experience. During his career, he has served as design engineer, project manager, project coordinator, and principal-in-charge on hundreds of projects. Croy’s extensive career also includes serving as Executive Director of the State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) and Deputy Director of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA). As the Director of the Cobb County Department of Transportation (Cobb DOT) from 1992 to 1999, Croy was responsible for maintaining approximately 2,000 miles of Cobb County roads and 200 bridges. He founded Croy Engineering in 2005 and, under his leadership, has grown the firm to more than 150 people in six offices across the Southeast.
